    this "springing " old boy was maid in the antebellum time.
    It is probably an advertising ,but of what or whom ?
    The grotesque silhouette is made in 2 parts, " feets "have a wooden center with a spring "glue" to the leg . The above part top moving upon .
    I have it for a long time and never found the mining of it
    You ideas welcome to give a name to him
