I inherited six teaspoons and have searched the internet for this design. They are quite stunning in their simplicity which makes me think they could be very early. I think one would call it a "fiddle" shaped handle. I wonder whether anyone can identify them. They have C H stamped on the back and also ChKF and 1796 in a pin prick stamp. I don't know whether this number is a date.
Oh wow...very very beautiful. Well, these very well could be early American coin silver. I cannot be sure from this distance. Can you update with a close up of the hallmark?? The shape and design of the spoon is consistent with later 1700's early 1800's coin silver spoons.
The first silversmith who comes to mind is Charles Hall of Philadelphia, PA 1759-1762 and Lancaster, PA 1763-1783. Please see the link below and see if your hallmarks match his.

I only have a few minutes but I want to say this: Just because it is pinpricked with 1796 does not mean it is from that year. These could have been made to commemorate someones birth or death or special event. However, based on the current evidence this very well could be pre 1800 silver. Very impressive.
