This piano was given to me TWO different times by TWO different people, and only had TWO men to load it when it should have been six. It was 102 years old when I got it. My Lord always blesses me in TWOS, have two David's, two Dale's, two of this and two of that, even my address has all 2's, I could go on and on but this piano was made especially for Brook Mays & Company in Dallas, Texas. It was made in La Porte, Indiana by The Hobart M. Cable Co. FOR the ALASKA-YUKON-PACIFIC EXPOSITION IN 1909. It is in very good condition, needs a lil work on tuning but I considered myself Blessed to have it!

It may not be that old, it looks like Hobart won a gold medal for their piano's in 1909 at the ALASKA-YUKON-PACIFIC EXPOSITION. They would have used this for years after in their marketing.

Thanks for the information, just wonder if the date is was manufactured would be printed on the piano somewhere and is so, where?

It should have serial numbers on it, I've seen some with S N's on the large components of the piano.
