"Ebbets Field, A Memoir" was written by former Brooklyn Dodgers' Director of Promotions Irving Rudd. It was sold as a companion piece along with a lithograph of Ebbets Field by artist John Suchy. The items sold very well in the mid 1980's. The booklets were autographed at some of the annual inductions of former Dodgers and their outstanding opponents into the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Fame. While some of the lithographs are still available, there are very few of the Irving Rudd memoir in stock. Some of the autographs on the booklet covers are those of Stan Musial, Duke Snider, Dolph Camilli, Babe Herman, Tommy Holmes, Ralph Branca, Bobby Thomson, Mickey Owen, Tommy Henrich, Al Gionfrido and Johnny Vander Meer. The Ebbets Field memoir and the Ebbets Field lithograph are prized possessions of many collectors of Brooklyn Dodgers memorabilia.

This is cool -- after all everything from Ebbets Field is cool. It's interesting that some of the autographs on the memoir are of non-Dodgers players like Musial. Did you get the autographs yourself?

      What else do you collect?

I personally got all the autographs when I attended the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Fame inductions. At one time they were held annually, but that has not been the case in recent years. As a youngster, growing up in Brooklyn, I was a rabid Dodgers fan. Ironically, the only Dodgers team that I dd not see play from 1940 until they left for LA was the 1955 World Champions. I was in the US Army in Germany that year and listened to the game on the radio (AFN _Armed Forces Network).

Fred can contact me. You can provide him with my email address. I believe that I have an Ebbets Field lithograph similar to the one referred to in his comment, but it does not have the three autographs. It does have the Ebbets Field brick and the litho is much larger than 12 x 16.
