I went looking at the thrift today, and this was all I could find worth looking at. It was only a dollar, so I decided to buy it. It certainly has some age to it, as I can tell by the patination on the wood. Looks like pine? Mostly likely a homemade project, but very primitive. Has anyone seen something similar? Please comment! Thanks!
I have come across some elephants that have that same crude look to them & have been trying to work out what they are made of as it is really hard to tell as soon as weather is fine & have a day at home plan to take some photos & will post. Believe it or not that was todays plan only its raining not heavy, but enough to put taking photos off. They also by the looks of them have some age to them. Even though I said they had a crude look that is what is appealing.
hey zowie! Yes I agree, I think to call them "primitive", but not sure if they are actually from the ear when things were actually primitive. Not sure if this is making sense......its been a long day..:)
I worked it out I put the Elephants up one is a candle stick the other just a little elephant they still remind me of yours but mine are not made of wood, I don't think anyway it doesn't look or feel it but not sure what they are made of.
