The doll is 26" tall and has German writing on battery panel "Bei Motorgerausch Motorlager Olen 1 Tropfen". Inside the battery compartment is a little record that sits on small needle. Her eyes are an ice blue with a pinwheel-like pattern. I thought it might be a Chatty Cathy version, but could not find anything about that possibility. Any information that anyone can share would be appreciated.

Do you switch a on switch or pull a string to make record talk . Is it in English or German if it works ?

It is German and there is a switch (push button) on the chest that seems to open the battery compartment on the back and a red switch on the back that I think operates the little record inside. I cannot find a battery size and have ruled out a C does not work.

I know it's been a couple of years since you posted this, but did you have any luck? I have this doll and I am trying to get info on her. I have a box that is marked "Krakow S.P. Pomoc". I believe the doll is dressed in Polish Krakowiak costume. My doll also has a headband (crown) of flowers with ribbons hanging down her back.

I just publish my doll, that I believe it's like yours, I found that her name is Selina. If is from the same factory, yours must had a letter "Z" inside a flower wich was the mark of Zapf Creations Factory in the back of her neck like mine.
I hope that after 5 years this information help you.
