I found this item in rural Massachusetts, and I have never seen another one like it, even of a different Disney character. There is a label on the base, it reads "Hobby Tot Toys" manufactured by Pontiac Spring and Bumper Co. Pontiac, MICH. Strange that I drove all the way to MA to find this and I live about 40 minutes from Pontiac, MI.
Pluto is designed for a child to sit on the end and hold onto the wood handle on Pluto and bounce up and down. It appears to be made of iron for the bottom. It is really well made, an adult can sit on it and it still works. I am an avid Pluto collector and I have never found this in a Disneyana book or anything similar. Usually I at least see a Mickey or Donald version of an item.
FYI - there really needs to be a "Toys" category to be able to select!!
