This is a standard U.S. issue M-1 helmet, painted grey for Navy use. This would be used on river patrol boats, and other water craft. This helmet also has a matching grey inner liner, and is personalized with the name Red-Dog painted in green on the back of the helmet, and the numbers 2 103 on the front which may be associated with a specific craft.
