This French model 1886 Label rifle bayonet. The doughboys called this the French “needle bayonet” while the French soldiers called it “Rosalie”. I purchased this at one of our in house auctions for around $40.00 if my memory serves me well. The neat thing about this bayonet is the battle damage it has. It was hit by a bullet which shattered the opposite side of the scabbard and bent the blade. The piece has a very nice patina and is a neat item if it could only tell me the story of what happened. Thanks for looking.

I just purchased an 1886 French Label Bayonet. It is in very good condition, and I got it valued at around 350 dollars for a collector. And yes, it has four edges. Comment back if you feel the need.
i have a label bayonet that is only about 18 " long with the appropriate length scabbard. it is in excellent condition, although the scabbard is pitted. I would love to get more information on it and an approximate value.
