Vintage Black Walnut Schechter Strat from Components

I bought this guitar through Mountain Music in Woodstock, NY. They ordered all the components for me from Schechter around February, 1979 - beautiful black walnut body, tapped pick-up (stacked single-coils)/pickguard assembly with industrial quality switches, maple neck and brass bridge, nut and jack pieces, gold mini-Shallers... It was assembled in May of that year.

I'm fond of it, and the sound is great, but the neck proved to be narrower than I preferred, so it's more of a show piece than a regularly played ax.
