      Hi Cyndi, nice pen set! I believe the Eversharp "Big E" was first produced around 1961. The pens were made by the Parker Pen Company who had acquired the Eversharp Pen Co. a few years prior. There is some good info on the "Big E" pen here: http://parkercollector.com/parker19.html

      Cyndi, your Eversharp Big E set is advertised in beautiful color on page 78 of the December 15, 1961 issue of Life Magazine. You can find it in the Life Magazine archives in Google Books.
