    THIS WAS FOUND IN THE BOTTOM OF A BOX I GOT AT AUCTION TODAY. IT IS MARKED EAGLE PENCIL CO. U.S.A..THE TUBE IS ABOUT 4 INCHES LONG AND THE CHAIN IS ABOUT 6 INCHES LONG AND HAS AN OVERSIZED HOOK ON THE END. HAVE NO IDEA AS TO DATE JUST A NICE PIECE.

      You have telephone pencil dialer. The ball on the end fits into the holes of a rotary dial. I believe these pencil dialer were patented in the 1930's.
