    Miss Georgia Code 10-60-38 Atlanta, GA Grade A PASTERIZED HOMOGENIZED MILK-VITAMIN D-SOFT CURD NO DATE ON LID OR BOTTOM HAS AN ACHOR SHAPE AND A NUMBER 5 ON IT. IF YOU CAN GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION ON THIS BOTTLE IF ITS RARE OR WHAT I CAN NOT SEEM TO FIND ANYTHING ON IT. THANKS! RHONDA

      Anchor Hocking Glass (number 5 is the bottle mold number) - Never assume the lid description is what the bottle held, lids are interchangeable. Your lid probably came off a Miss Georgia Milk bottle. - Below is the same bottle with a red cap;

      thanks for the help, I thought since the lid fit so well it was original to the bottle. thanks!

      The link below shows one with what they describe as "the original lid" - red cap with a white peacock design - I see several others with the same lids but also one with a white snowflake design instead of peacock - Anchor hocking also made these bottle designs with the neck straight up, not slanted to the side like yours. - you can google "anchor hocking refrigerator bottles" and see a lot of them, they were for water, juice, milk, etc. - link to the one on ebay with picture of lid;

      And don't just throw away the cap just because it's not original to the bottle - the cap itself is collectible to a milk bottle collector and may in fact be worth more than the bottle itself.
