    Hello,
I am interested in learning more about my ceramic piece. It stands just under 10" tall. The glaze shows lots of signs of impurities in the firing. And this piece does not have a lid.
I would like to know if this piece originally had a lid. What was it used for? When was it made? Country of origin? Is this a really good reproduction or is this an early piece? There are no marking on the piece.
I should add the pictures are of the same jar. The front is highly decorated while the back is more reserved.
Any information you provide will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Pete
