Betula Lenta; What I found in searching for Italian translation to English is "Birch Slow".
And PV may stand for Peasant Village.
I see many pottery pieces made in Italy marked PV along with many patterns.
Can the birch slow mean the sap and made into birch beer or birch oil?
Now the form of the pottery: I have seen this form as described as a utensil holder, wine bottle cooler etc.
I have learned in researching items descriptions to verify the source
especially if I am going to sell the item. Many collectors me included love to find out details and that is part of the fun.
First rule of picking out a piece of what ever you collect is you love it.
    details: 4" across x 5" tall

Hello! I came across your pottery piece when trying to figure out a yard sale find. My piece is almost identical except "Calamus-Drago" is painted instead of your Betula Lenta. The art is almost identical. Did you ever find out more information about it?

      Thanks!
P.S. Love your profile pic. I have had many German shepherds throughout the years in my family, and I love them!
