    Belonged to my parents in the UK, but I don't know if it's old or where it came from. Some faded marks, indentations and X1 on the base.

      I think I can read Shorter around the edge.

      You see a lot of them here in Australia. One of the Shorters had a very large shop here in Sydney. I met him once in the late 70's.

      I'm from England, so that's where the Toby jug came from when we came here. I remember it being in the family since I was a kid. I brought it back here when mum and dad died over there.

      Spot on! Looked at the web site and there it was so I'm very pleased.
      We lived in Sydney since coming from England in 1962. Been here in Marcus Beach QLD for 12 years. I have more things including a grandfather clock by Adam Costen of Kirkham, I think circa 1760s?
