I just picked up this cooler out here in California from a lady. I paid $80 for it. Is that a good deal? Does anyone know around what year it is from? I think it is from the mid 50's.... I would like to restore it that is what I like to do. There is rust on the bottom that I would like to get rid of and have this looking new again, but part of me wants to keep it in it's original paint. Would it hurt the value to sand and repaint? Leave it original? HELP!!!!!

I have just inherited an identical cooler from my father-in-law after his death. I would definately like to restor or have it restored as it has some minor rust through on the bottom.
Does anyone have suggestions for a restorer or somewhere I can get guidance to restore myself?

I have an identical cooler , have you found any additional info on it. I just waxed mine to take the dull off the paint & then clear coated it.
If you find something you like you pay what you think is fair price for the item based on your liking it. I would have paid $5 on it, but that's because I don't take gambles on items that I don't know about. Buy it cause you like it if you don't know about it or you'll most likely get taken. That being said, I do not have any idea about Coke items.
