    Found this at a Salvation Army. Fell in love with it. It has an N with a circle around it. Looking for more information (so I can find more similar pieces for my own enjoyment) Found in the northeast if this helps.

      Without seeing the mark, based on your description, and similarity to the figurine in this link, appears to be Newcomb College Pottery:

      Ooops, excuse my haste, apparently your mark and the figurine are made in Japan, see discussion in the link.
