Here's a cool little lion ornament I picked up at a local auction last weekend. Not sure exactly where it came from but it's about three inches long and just under a 1lb. I tested with a magnet and it will not stick. Tail is broke off but I loved the way it sits on the pedestal ready to pounce. Anyone have an idea where this came from?

I have one too, and in perfect condition with holes in the bottom at front and back to be mounted on something. I would love to know where it went originally

Definitely not a hood ornament, the construction of the base even is very poor which would not look good on your shiny new car. It is a nice ornament, but definitely not made for a car. Usually mounted on a marble or wood base, many ornaments had 2 holes for screws.
