This item is made from some sort of stone. It weighs about 5 pounds. It is about 6" X 6". Very crudely done. It is not perfectly square or even on the bottom as the picture shows. This was unearthed at least 45 years ago by my Mom and me when I was just a child. I would just love to find out what this is. I do have more pictures. Any info would be great! Thank you in advance.

We were living in Virginia at the time. It was just in dirt. One leg was sticking out of the ground like a rock. I tripped over it and started digging. When Mom saw that I wasn't just digging out a rock she helped then took it inside and cleaned it up.

I don't know who, where, when or why but I dig it....
I have lived in VA and Moyock, NC all my life and all I have dug up is a bear trap, silver ware, broken glass and a pink rock. What state in VA was this found? Could it be Native American? Very interesting....

This piece appears to have a reddish colored stain inside. It is crudely carved from stone.
