Hello,
Just wondering if anyone can give me info on why this man would be bare chested. In the many years of dealing in photography, I have rarely seen a man without a shirt on posing for a tintype.

i would say he is a boxer look at his hands back then it was bare knuckle fighting you can tell he is a fighter his hand are swollen from fighting alot- prob a photo before or after a fight
