    I had the highest bid for 4 Native American baskets at a charity auction. These are two of the 4. The person who donated them said they were bought in the Southwest.

      They may have been bought in the Southwest, but they are not Native American. These are contemporary imports from Pakistan, made from palm fiber. Pakistani copies of Indian basket designs are, unfortunately, sold at gift shops, trading posts, and highway stands all over the Southwest.
