      No, I'm afraid it isn't Cheyenne, or as old as you were led to believe. The style of the painting, especially the eagle, horses, and Indians, indicates it dates to the 1950s or newer, since these are definitely not the way they were depicted in the 1800s. This may be the work of the Native Arts Trading Company: http://www.nativeartstrading.com/index.html

      There are others who specialize in similar work, but Native Arts (actually based in Scotland) is known for painting realistic museum replicas, movie and theater props, and custom items for collectors, all based on Native American themes. The style of the horses, especially, looks like theirs.
