We do not know any thing really about this item except that it is very unusual and beautiful. We can not say what happend to it or how long it has been buried. The name R. Wallace, date 1835, Pat. JUNE. 6. 03 is stamped and is still ledgable on the reverse side at its neck and tail. I was hoping that if anyone who might recognize this and know a bit could comment on it so we might learn some of its history .

This is a silver plated fruit spoon. There are a number of them listed on eBay.
