I bought this unique looking rather large footed dish yesterday from a thrift store. Picked it up because it was so unusual. I know nothing about where it came from or when it was made. Not really sure if I like it all that much yet but perhaps it will grow on me.

Have any of you seen a dish like this before with such a bright, almost neon, orange colored frosted/satin glass with gold trim? The stem is swirled and frosted white. The gold band is on the top of the dish and around the pedestal. It has a butterfly and some flowers painted on both sides. I can't tell if it is hand painted because the paintings look too identical to be done by hand.

It measures about 6 1/4" tall and is 7" in diameter. Would love some help identifying the manufacturer, era, whatever I can find out. Thanks.

Looking at the style of this I think it would likely be 1960s Japanese.
They were more likely to use orange glass than the Italians and often hand painted their glass.
      Great piece.
