    Cast iron about 5" long, has an insert I believe that was heated and then put into the iron. Never seen any other but I continue to look. It was given to me long ago from a woman that came to Canada from Holland in the 40's

      Great vintage iron. To make the photos right side up post them from a computer and not a mobile device.

      This is a Victorian era iron with a slug (that metal piece which fits inside). Yours is a very nice example. I live in the Netherlands and see quite a few of these irons. I have one posted on my page that made from cast iron, wood and leather.

      Agree with fortapache - please do post photos from your pc. Posting from your phone also does not allow us to enlarge the photos to get a better look.
