These are all carved wooden figures, or toys, that were hand painted. They are on display at the Society of California Pioneers. My personal favorite of them is the three monkeys, which is aptly titled, "Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil."
Anyone know any history of these?

i had a little statue of the three monkeys when i was a kid. it might even still be in in a box in the closet of my old room at my folk's place.
