Can anyone please tell me if this is Tunbridge Ware ..or not ?..and help identify the wood?

It seems to be good quality... but the hinges dont look so old (Although, Im no expert).

Any advice would be welcome

I don't think this is Tunbridge ware - the quality isn't there.

Thanks for your thoughts.... one other thing, any idea on what this box was for ?... I thought perhaps for playing cards ..Bridge ?
