Hey everyone!! I'm into old lanterns, oil lamps and other glassware, but I have a question about one of my lanterns. First, I'm not sure about the maker of my lantern or how old it is; the only marking I've found was on the oil container which says Vortex, and the fresnel glass has a hint of purple to it. Second, it looks as if someone painted it black (except for the very top where the handle is) and I was wondering whether or not to carefully remove the paint to get it to its "original" state or just leave it as is.
