Hello, I could use some help finding more information on this Philco Radio unit. I do believe at one time it had a phonograph in one of the cabinets, but it had been removed. The only other alterations is the material on the bottom cabinets. I did replace just the material because the other was damaged. So it is far from being in original condition but still a really nice piece of history. I am thinking it would have been made around 1951 but all the pictures I find are not exactly the same as the one I have. If anyone can give me so information I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Looks early to late 50's to me. This one reminds me of the late 50's veneered fire places which used to house a lot of Russian stereo record players of which I owned a fine one with nice veneers and nice lights in the bar part of it. The stereo was made in East Berlin, but they also made american stereo one. They were bad to wonderful pieces you just don't see as much of. I use to see a lot of the stereo furniture in the late 1970's. Here is a posting of a blue mirror pic with my unit in it, was more beautiful when open, you believed you could contact E.T. with it !~
