    This strangely painted stem cup puzzles me. It seems old because of the many age signs. I have never seen anything like this. Can anyone interpret the seal mark? Thanks.

      Cecile looking at the glaze and seal I think it Japanese.

      Thanks racer4four. You are right. I was told it is Japanese Kinkozan Showa period and done by one of Japan's best potters but he did not give me the name....Darn.

      actually it is more complicated because is this the kinkozan 1920-1927 or is it revival kinkozan in the fifties

      actually both periods are decline periods, still cute
