Hello all, my husband and I thought maybe we could get some answers here. We have recently recieved the build sheet for this car from GM Canada. We have been trying to figure out what the paint code stood for. According to GM, it is "special order fleet colour", but still no knowledge on the actual colour.
My husband checked out the door jams where there is still origianl paint, and it appears to be "coke" red, with a white roof. We do know that the interior colour is grey, and that it was 245 of 247 made of that body style in the Oshowa plant. It was ordered late in the model year, as it shipped out Sept. 6, 1955.
We have got it stuck in our heads that it may very well be a Coca-Cola salesmans ride. This may not be the case, but it was ordered for some company, as it is a fleet colour. If anybody out there can offer any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much!!
