Found this item at a local flea market.

It looks like it was used by the Postal Service to cancel postage. The wire end has dried ink on it. The flat ends have the following words stamped on them:

    Side 1 - THE EVERETT
    Side 2 - PAT APL'D FOR

    Thanks in advance.

First off, I would like to thank "vetraio50" for their help in solving this 3 year mystery (abd argument) between my husband and I. Of course, he thought it was junk. Whereas, I thought it was unique and different- so I bought it. Thank you (vetraio50) for the link to the news article about the raisin seeder as well. I am a fan.
