    I've had this for a few years and I am stumped as far as what it is. Measures 3 1/8 inches tall. Marked Geschutzt, no other marks.

      The word means protected or guarded so I would assume it is a sort of a good luck piece. I have a much larger one carved in a coconut but without any markings.

      His "hair" is really stiff! I can't imagine shaving with it but it is really old. Thanks for the reply, I agree it does look like a shaving brush holder.
