    I collect different eggs and saw this one in the thrift store window. It is 8 1/2" tall. I just love the gilded details, and the vibrant colors, especially all the gold. I hope this is a real Satsuma egg. I only paid $6.95. No matter I thought it a steal for the size.

      I have no doubt this is real Satsuma. It's a beautiful egg and you certainly didn't over pay!
      I think it's possibly early 20thC.
