    Another oldie found here. This is a drill press with a self feeding mechanism. Many people admire this piece but nobody has yet to provide any historic information on it. There are no company logos or names on it.

      You say this drill is self feeding, so how does it work? I understand how the chuck is rotated, but it appears to be manual feeding with the drum on the top, is that correct?

      There is a flywheel on top with a clutch. The rotary motion of the flywheel gets converted to up and down energy used to push the drill bit into your work. Basically the operator just pulls the handle down lightly to operate the drill.
