Oil Burner For Identification

This oil burner has J. MC D.&S. with Trench Patent on the thumb wheel. The only thing Google is showing is for a Limoges company in Boston and elsewhere. I really have no idea and cannot find anything in my searches. Sorry, I could not really get a good pic of the thumb wheel. Any help at all in helping me figure out who makes this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
