Maniken is the local authority on these. She will see it and give you the best advise there is. Be prepared to answer her questions.

Merrythought (London) ? (Merrythought Ironbridge Shops)

      The classic features are:

      Head stuffed with wood wool
      Muzzle is shaved
      Eyes are set wide apart
Flat ears sewn across front face seams
      Square vertically sewn nose
      No hump
      Fully jointed
Body stuffed with Kapok and wood wool
      Long arms
Webbed stitched claws on paws with shorter stitches than early J K Farnell bears
Most made from Mohair but a few early bears were made from art silk

Of course, Maniken will probably prove me wrong. LOL

These bears can be reproduced or made by Teddy Bear artists in style of vintage bears . I am not convinced yours is a antique bear. I need to see pads better also the tag. Your photo's are to small to see detail. Very nice but will await more photo's and larger .

See ? You dabble with the experts and you get singed. I'll get the first aid kit.

Thanks everyone...@manikin..... The pads are felt and there are no tags. That's why I'm asking the experts. If you need more photo detail still, I can provide in a few days. I left the cute little guy at home on my holidays :)

indigogolf, Have a nice holiday and yes please do add more photos when you can , Some items come down to fine details to tell from a photo how old and maker . I hope you understand I love your bear but reluctant to ID on just these photo's . Most of time it is easier when you hold one and then many that have no real distinguishing marks or faces can not be always identified to a maker . These were meant to be toys and many tags were cut off or never marked . But I have friends who are Teddy bear artists and wow you have to have a keen eye to know it was not antique . Yours shows no wear which seems unusual in a antique bear but not impossible either :-)
