Cast iron foo dog plate

10" cast iron lotus shaped plate unmarked with cast loops on the back for hanging. Very heavy, features a guardian lion/shishi dog or foo dog relief.

I have no idea what this is, how old it could be or where it was made. It resembles cast iron incense burner made in the mid 19th century but also could be an oriental homage piece from North America from the early 1900s?

I have never seen anything like it and I can find nothing similar anywhere...

Can you help me identify it?
