      i should have explained more. the tweetie is the crazy flying bird. that and the chrysanthemums are the primary elements of a lot of Peranakan / Nonya Straits pottery - made for them by the Chinese in Yongdezhen [i think]. The Peranakan are the earlier Chinese traders / businessmen who live throughout Malaysia and Indonesia.

      bowl made for malacca probably around 1920 peranakan
      this is a non festivity bowl because the 'Ashtamangala'is missing still nice well done
