Most likely not an old piece of glassware, however I love it! My grandchildren enjoy it because it has bees on it and it looks a bit like a beehive. Old or New?

Because of the bee decoration, this may be a dish in which to keep fresh honey on the dining table. Since folks don't do that much any more, the dish might be older than you think. My grandfather ran a corn mill, and my grandmother had hot biscuits or cornbread on the table at every meal. There was always a lidded dish on the table that contained either fresh molasses or honey to put on the hot bread--in some cases it served as dessert. Be sure to look at it carefully to see if there is any kind of maker's mark on the bottom.
