Have no idea what this is. Has RR markings and is cast iron I figure it’s something to hang coats but it is pretty heavy for that.

I took a bunch of these of different sizes out of an old barn up north years ago. The ones I removed were mounted on a wall and were supporting fairly thick shelves. I have no idea if that was the original use but it worked. Same place I also got three old cast iron stair railing hangers. I still have part of that stuff stored out in one of my shed buildings. My old saying was; If it is free, it is for me. I collected it even if I didn't know what it was.
