This is my fathers doll - he was born in 1924. We all think it's kinda scary, but he doesn't think so. We are wondering if anyone has seen one like this and a bit of history if known??

It has a plaster (?) head and hands. The rest of the body is soft and feels like it is stuffed with sawdust.

He looks like perhaps Canada made . He is meant to look like a real cowboy character like Tom Mix or Lone Ranger . Is the back of his neck marked with a name ?

It also appears he has been modified and repaired . His mouth has damage can you tell if he had painted teeth or a closed mouth and no teeth . Almost like his head and body don't belong together ?

      1Thanks for the quick reply...

I looked at his head and neck. There are no markings.

His mouth is chipped, but it is open with one painted tooth still white. The rest have the paint chipped off.

His head does look way too big for his body, but his head coloration, plaster-look, and age-look seem to match his hands - which are very small for his body.

Very interesting. THANKS for the help!

He is made of composition and it was easily ruined by water . This body looks like it once had a mask face doll on it . And Mother fixed it up :-) What a super piece of your families history. Priceless whoever he is ! Love him
