My favorite pen and ink

I found this picture while cleaning out my parent's barn. I think it is beautiful. There are gold accents within the picture. There is an original signature. I do not know where it originally came from or who the artist is. Anyone know about the technique used? - or anything about it? Just curious. I don't really know where to categorize it either.
