This is just one of several old tools that my grandmother had in an old box inside one of her closets. I just think it's a neat and cool old measuring device.

Welcome to CW. You ate allowed up to 4 pictures. A picture of the name and model number would be nice. Old tools are great to collect and hold many memories. Imagine all the things that were built and fixed usi g this Ruler.

Funny story! Many years ago I was with a friend and his very young son, when he brought one of these great measures (I have 2) he showed his boy how you can twist and roll it around and make shapes. His son took it and pulled it straight apart and SNAP IT BROKE APART!! after that it was a two piece ruler!!

I didn't finish the previous comment, I'm technically challenged....looked at your post because the photo peaked my curiosity. I thought it might be a six fingered hand but it's a old timer ruler. That made me giggle about aging. My dad had one and showed me how to use it
