I have had the following drafting stool for many years and just noticed the metal plate tags (PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE OF THESE TAGS) on the underside of the wood stool seat. I was hopeing someone could give me some information regarding this stool. For example, year it was made and the RELEVANCE, if any, WITH THE MILITARY. One of the tags on the bottom says - War Dep't - Det. Ord. Dist - ( 0-95 ) - I.P.A. Co. ( I found out that this stands for The Irwin Pedersen Arms Co) - The second tag has the following written - Detroit Ordinance District - Contract No W - 374 - ORD 1242 - Equipment No. 7140. The stool has a 15 1/2" diameter wood seat. The metal footrest has an outside diameter = to 20 1/2". The height from the floor to the top of the wood seat is 27". The stool weighs 22 pounds. Any information regarding this stool would be greatly appreciated. You can email me (Andrew) at conequipco@aol.com. Thanks - Andrew
