    I picked this up at Pasadena Rosebowl antique market...looks Indian? Perhaps the symbols/letters on the back indicate origins?

      The writing on the back-- looks to be arabic numbers:

      Top to bottom, left to right:
      ??, 7, 2
      1, 5, 9
      8, 3

      This item looks like the type of thing that would be sold in a middle east souk, represented as an ancient/ antique item, but having little age.

      Nice decorator piece.
