Got this puppy at an "antique" dealer on the edge of town. It was my father (Michigan Mills) and my first time going to this guy, and we probably won't be going back until next year. The guy's running the store out of his living room, and he was sitting in his underwear when we walked in. Haha, talk about an awkward situation!
We picked up a few bottles from local brewing companies and were about to head out when I spotted this guy buried under a pile of mildew-ruined Perry Como records.
It's just an RCA Short Wave/AM radio, but I fell in love with the chassis when I first saw it. Some of the buttons stick on the front, there's a hum in the speaker (I've got some capacitors to change, it sounds like), and there's the slightest tear in the grill cloth on the edge there, but the problems are so minor that I couldn't resist.
Physically speaking, it's in awesome condition and I think it could be cleaned up well with just a fresh polish/varnish job of the lightest proportion.
Anyway, thought I'd share!
