Lionhead bowl from venice. These sold in the 90's in a place called the museum store. The glass was ash treated to give it that new from an archealogical dig look. I picked this up in Venice for $7 while the were sold in stores for $150. Talk about markup and import duties...lol.

The archecological dig look is normall referred to as COROSO which is a slight acid wash over the finished glass. The attached lion head prunts and the shape of the vase definitely harks back to Roman times and the Coroso wash certainly ties this all together nicely
