I found this earring with my metal detector about 10 years ago in Connecticut. I know it is sterling silver from the 925 imprint on the reverse. I do not know what kind of stone it is or anything else about this earring.
Any help, im curious?

Looks like onyx to me. I have several pairs of similar earrings, made of various semi-precious stones. Most of mine are from the 1970s-1990s.
